If you’ve ever had something you’re truly passionate about, you know how important it is to surround yourself in that passion. If, for example, you’re an accomplished and talented musician, you will want to fill your days with music. One creative way to do this is by adding wind chimes to the outside of your home. With even the smallest gust of wind, you’ll be serenaded by the light tinkling of metallic notes.

For this reason, don’t forget to think of wind chimes the next time your musically gifted friend has a birthday. If they are truly dedicated to music and passionate about that subject matter, they will absolutely adore hearing those notes as they fall asleep. And who knows? The random tinkling of notes might even inspire them to think of a new song or inspire them in other unforeseen ways. Then all that’s left is to hope that you’re given an acknowledgement on the CD.

It’s not hard to figure out that there aren’t many ways to make a shed romantic. I learned this after spending a few weeks in a shed-like cabin by my local lake while working at a national park. The cabin was dank, dark and dusty at best.

Too bad my boyfriend was coming to visit for a weekend! I finally found one small way to create some sort of ambience in the little cabin. I had a vanilla-scented votive candle and I lit it when he came over. I guess you don’t need romance to be romantic, though. Everything ended up working out just fine.
